I was amazed by these two paintings. Both are done by Ruth Mayer. The plethora of color blew me away, but i was most impressed by the detail in the water. She shows every tiny reflection. I have never been able to do this. The painting showing the Catalina Casino is especially beautiful to me. The blues give it a very peaceful, calm feel. The artist even has light reflecting off the water onto the boats.
